About Us

Founded by 17 year old Giles Peters in 2007, DiabeticHampers.co.uk provides your diabetic friends and relatives with mouth-watering, sugar-free treats. We currently offer the largest Diabetic gift service in the U.K! We have designed a simple hamper range that is suitable for most occasions. However if you have any suggestions on how we could improve our range or service please contact Giles through giles@diabetichampers.co.uk

Our Products

Our products contain no sugar wherever possible, and have a low G.I. They also conform to the other requirements of a diabetic diet for example low carb. However we do suggest that certain products should be consumed in moderation. These include champagne (which contains some sugar used in the fermentation stage), and diabetic chocolate (which contains ingredients that eaten in excess can act as a laxative). All of our hampers come with a warning that products may have traces of nuts. We strive to source the finest food stuffs and luxury items for our hampers, and NO EXPENSE is spared to achieve this goal. Nutritional information can be found in the contents list of each hamper.

Delivery

All orders received before 3pm on a weekday are sent the same day. All orders on a weekday received after 3pm are sent first thing the next day. Your hamper will be despatched using the Royal Mail service.

Please allow up to 5 days for UK delivery.

When sending a hamper as a gift you will be asked to fill in a message, your message will then be printed on fine paper and will be placed in the hamper you have chosen.

Our Ethical Policy

Here at DiabeticHampers.co.uk we are not satisfied by the easy option, whilst large firms abroad may offer a cheap and fast service, we prefer to support small local companies who can meet our demands in terms of high quality. After considering our carbon footprint we are in the process of becoming carbon neutral. We also support a great little charity, MicroLoan Foundation which provides small loans to entrepreneurs starting up companies across the developing world.

Although we strive to provide ideal products for diabetics we cannot guarantee that they are 100% suitable for all diabetics, we ask you to make your own investigations into whether or not they are suitable, for the particular diet recommended. Please consult your G.P. or medical team.

A little about the Founder

I come from a family of Diabetics on my mother's side. Most of my family are type 2 diabetic and I know that it is difficult to find appetising foods suitable for a diabetic diet, I wanted to see if something could be done about it. The result of my research is this website - a great way to treat someone special with food gifts that they don't have to feel guilty about eating!
